Immerse yourself in heritage luxury with this exquisite teal blue addition to our Kala-Vriksh series. Handwoven by master artisans of the Vankar community in Bhuj, Gujarat, this saree features a captivating deep teal blue base. The body and palla are intricately adorned with multi-coloured horizontal stripes, fine woven lines, and traditional geometric tribal motifs in bright coral red and lime green, all woven in the extra-weft technique. The edge features a vibrant lime green and red side-panel, beautifully finished with a playful fringe of hand-knotted multi-coloured cotton tassels.
The saree comes with a running blouse piece (last picture).
Authentic Bhujodi weaving relies on a highly technical, labor-intensive extra-weft technique. Skilled artisans manually interlace supplementary cotton threads across the warp lines on traditional pit looms to create tactile, three-dimensional geometric motifs that resemble delicate hand embroidery.
